X Games Announces Aspen Return, League Launch

The Winter X Games will return to Aspen’s Buttermilk Mountain for the 25th consecutive year from January 23–25, 2026, marking a quarter-century partnership with the Colorado community. The 2026 event will continue to feature top ski and snowboard athletes, live music, and enhanced hospitality options, with ticketing and the music lineup to be announced later. X Games signed a one-year agreement with Aspen One as it shifts strategy toward global expansion and new event formats. Under CEO Jeremy Bloom, the brand is launching the X Games League, which will introduce team-based competitions and aims to deepen community ties and inspire youth engagement in action sports. Memorable moments from past events, such as record-breaking tricks and perfect scores, have set high expectations for the 2026 competition. The event remains a centerpiece for showcasing winter sports innovation and athlete achievement.
