PBS SoCal Receives Record 27 Nominations at 77th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards

PBS SoCal has received a record-breaking 27 nominations across 14 categories for the 77th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, the most nominations ever in the organization's history. Their arts and culture series ARTBOUND leads with seven nominations, recognizing episodes that explore Mexican-American art, Black artists in Leimert Park, West Coast Modernism, and a fusion of art and science at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The environmental series EARTH FOCUS also garnered multiple nominations, alongside other locally produced programs such as SoCal Matters, a collaboration with CalMatters that brings California statewide issues to the Los Angeles audience and earned a nomination for its insightful short video segments.
