The Rocky Horror Picture Show is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a newly restored 4K Ultra HD version, overseen by the Walt Disney Studios Restoration team over 10 months. The process included a detailed digital scan and preservation of each frame, providing unprecedented clarity and vibrancy. Fans can choose between a newly mixed Dolby Atmos audio track and a fully restored original mono track. The remastered film will be released theatrically across the U.S., followed by a 4K Blu-ray release and a new anniversary logo. Producer Lou Adler and Disney's Kevin Schaeffer highlighted the film's enduring legacy, attributing its longevity to its passionate fan base. Originally released in 1975, it remains the longest-running theatrical release in history and continues to inspire midnight screenings and global audience participation.
