Braintree American Little League from Massachusetts secured their first-ever trip to the Little League World Series after a dramatic 3-2 extra-innings win over Bedford, New Hampshire, in the New England Regional Championship held in Bristol, Connecticut. The deciding run came in the bottom of the eighth inning when Frank Fasoli scored on a wild pitch and an errant throw. Braintree's path to the championship featured dominant shutout victories against Maine and Vermont, highlighting both their offensive and pitching strengths. The undefeated team will represent New England and face Irmo, South Carolina, in their World Series opener.
