Nintendo Direct to Spotlight Donkey Kong Bananza

Nintendo has announced a special Nintendo Direct dedicated solely to Donkey Kong Bananza, streaming on June 18, 2025, for approximately 15 minutes. This presentation marks a departure from Nintendo's usual summer showcases by focusing exclusively on one title. Donkey Kong Bananza will be Donkey Kong's first 3D sandbox adventure in decades and introduces new gameplay features, including level deformation. The game is slated for exclusive release on Switch 2 on July 17, 2025. While some fans had hoped for announcements of additional titles, Nintendo has indicated that broader reveals will come in future Directs.
