Center Point High Principal Suspended After Domestic Violence Arrest

Center Point High School Principal Dr. Terrell Brown has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge stemming from an incident at the Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred on June 9, 2025, with a report filed on July 17, and Brown was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail on July 23. Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin stated that the incident did not involve any students, faculty, or staff and took place off campus. He emphasized that placing Dr. Brown on administrative leave is a standard procedure and does not imply guilt. During Brown's leave, the school's three assistant principals will serve as points of contact for school matters. Authorities have been asked for the incident report to provide further details about the case.
