Zora Announces ZORA Token Launch on April 23, 2025

Zora, an Ethereum-based NFT platform known for its creator-centric approach, has announced the launch of its native token, ZORA, set for April 23, 2025. The token distribution will be determined by two snapshots of user activity, rewarding early adopters—creators, collectors, and developers—with a retroactive airdrop covering contributions from January 2020 to April 2025. ZORA will launch on Base, Coinbase’s layer-2 network, to improve accessibility, reflecting Zora’s broader aim to expand into a comprehensive on-chain social network. The total supply will be capped at 10 billion tokens, with allocations for airdrops, community incentives, liquidity, treasury, team members, and strategic contributors.
