Revolution Wins 1-0, Ends Road Winless Streak
New England Revolution defeated Atlanta United 1-0 with Carles Gil scoring the decisive goal from a penalty kick in the 36th minute, following a foul by Atlanta's Emmanuel Latte Lath. Gil's goal was his third of the season, contributing to three of the team's four goals so far. Aljaz Ivacic, the Revolution's goalkeeper, had an impressive performance with five saves, marking his second clean sheet of the season. This victory marks the first road win for New England since August 2024, breaking an 0-8-1 away game streak, and improves their all-time series record against Atlanta to 6-5-4. Atlanta's Brad Guzan made six saves, but it wasn't enough to prevent the loss at the end of their three-match homestand. Notably, Tomás Chancalay returned to play for Atlanta after an ACL injury, while New England's Maxi Urruti celebrated his 301st career appearance.
