Vertical Aerospace, Bristow Expand VX4 eVTOL Partnership

Vertical Aerospace and Bristow Group have expanded their partnership to accelerate the commercial deployment of the VX4 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The collaboration introduces a 'Ready-To-Fly' business model, providing turnkey solutions such as certified aircraft, trained pilots, maintenance, and insurance, thereby eliminating the need for customers to establish their own eVTOL infrastructure. Bristow has pre-ordered up to 50 VX4 aircraft, with options for 50 more, and will use its global expertise to manage eVTOL fleets across logistics, emergency response, and passenger sectors. This initiative advances Vertical Aerospace's 'Flightpath 2030' vision to scale certified eVTOL operations worldwide and follows a successful VX4 wingborne flight in European airspace, marking a key regulatory milestone. Analysts project Vertical Aerospace could achieve profitability as early as 2025, citing its strong balance sheet and increased market confidence. The partnership marks a significant move toward mainstream adoption of advanced and sustainable air mobility technologies.
