Deel Accepts Legal Papers in Rippling Lawsuit

Deel has formally agreed to accept legal documents in Ireland related to its ongoing lawsuit with competitor Rippling, ending weeks of uncertainty after Rippling struggled to serve Deel executives who were reportedly in Dubai. Deel CEO Alex Bouaziz, and attorneys Asif Malik and Andrea David Mieli, have consented to receive service through Deel’s Irish law firm, while Deel’s U.S. entity was already served earlier in April. Rippling had detailed unsuccessful attempts to serve the executives in France and Italy, including finding only a relative of Bouaziz in Paris who said he was in Dubai. Deel stated that Bouaziz lives in Israel and was only in Dubai briefly for Passover, rejecting claims that its executives were evading service and characterizing such allegations as part of a public smear tactic. Deel also clarified that Malik’s move to Dubai had been planned for over a year, predating the lawsuit. Both sides continue to dispute public narratives as legal proceedings advance in Ireland.
