Ram 1500 TRX Return Confirmed for 2026

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has confirmed the return of the Ram 1500 TRX for the 2026 model year, after the high-performance pickup was discontinued following the 2024 model. The new TRX is expected to offer an improved version of its 6.2-liter supercharged V8, previously rated at 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, with the aim of surpassing the 720-hp Ford F-150 Raptor R. Production may start as early as January 2026, as reported by industry insiders. The revival is part of Ram's move to reintroduce V8 engines, including the Hemi V8 in the standard 1500, amid strong consumer demand and relaxed emissions rules. Filosa emphasized the TRX's profitability and its importance in enhancing Ram's financial performance. The move comes despite broader industry trends towards electrification and efficiency.
