Baldwin, Horton, Durbin Named 2025 NL Rookie of Year Finalists

The finalists for the 2025 National League Rookie of the Year Award have been announced as Braves catcher Drake Baldwin, Cubs pitcher Cade Horton, and Brewers third baseman Caleb Durbin. Baldwin impressed with a .274 batting average, 19 home runs (second-most by a Braves rookie catcher), and leading NL rookies in WAR, despite allowing the most stolen bases in the league. Horton, a first-round pick by the Cubs, posted an 11-4 record with a 2.67 ERA, excelling particularly in his last 12 starts with a 1.03 ERA, contributing significantly to the Cubs' playoff berth. Durbin, who appeared in 136 games for the Brewers, helped lead his team to a franchise-record 97 wins and their first postseason series victory since 2018, batting .256 with 11 home runs.
