Ukraine’s Zelensky Rejects Territorial Concessions Amid Trump-Putin Talks

Despite Trump's efforts to broker a deal, including an upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15, Ukraine remains steadfast in its constitutional position on territorial integrity. Zelensky expressed Ukraine's readiness to pursue real and lasting peace through just solutions and international cooperation but reiterated that giving up territory is not acceptable. Trump has suggested that the peace plan might involve Russia taking control of the eastern Donbas region and Crimea, but Zelensky has criticized these terms as unfavorable and unacceptable. The Ukrainian leader also called on his people and soldiers to remain resilient amid ongoing conflict.
