Apple Urges 1.4 Billion iPhone Users to Update Now
Apple has alerted iPhone users to update their devices to the latest iOS version, iOS 18.3.2, to address a critical zero-day vulnerability in WebKit, the browser engine responsible for Safari and other mobile browsers. This vulnerability, identified as CVE-2025-24201, allows hackers to create malicious websites that can access sensitive data on users' devices when visited. Although the issue was initially blocked in the previous iOS 17.2 update, Apple warns that users with outdated software remain at risk. The company emphasized that while the attack appeared targeted at specific individuals, all users should install the latest security updates to protect against potential cyber threats. Tech experts also stress the importance of keeping software up to date to avoid vulnerabilities that could lead to data theft. Users can check for updates by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update on their devices.
