47-Year-Old Found Dead Near Mannitto Golf Course

Robert Friend, 47, was found dead Saturday on state game lands near the 17th hole of the Mannitto Golf Course in New Alexandria/Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County. A hunter discovered the body, and Pennsylvania State Police and the county coroner are treating the death as suspicious. Authorities have not released a cause of death; the coroner's office had an autopsy scheduled for Monday. Officials said more information is expected Monday.
