Timberwolves Sign Rookie Forward Enrique Freeman To Two-Way Contract
Enrique Freeman, a 6-foot-7 forward drafted 50th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, has signed a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Freeman appeared in 22 games last season for the Pacers, averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in limited minutes, but showed strong performance in the G League with averages of around 16.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. He also impressed in the 2025 NBA Summer League, averaging 16.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks while shooting over 55% from three-point range. Despite his limited NBA impact, Freeman's potential is evident, and the Timberwolves view him as a promising young talent. The Pacers withdrew their qualifying offer due to a lack of two-way roster slots, allowing Freeman to become an unrestricted free agent before joining Minnesota. Freeman expressed gratitude for his time with Indiana and remains optimistic about his career growth, embracing a patient and hardworking mentality.
