Man Charged with Raping Corpse on NYC Subway Is Illegal Immigrant with Prior Deports

Felix Rojas, a 44-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico, has been charged with raping and robbing the corpse of Jorge Gonzalez on a Manhattan subway train. ICE confirmed Rojas had crossed the US-Mexico border multiple times in the 1990s and was repeatedly returned to Mexico by Border Patrol before he re-entered the United States undetected. Surveillance footage and court proceedings detailed that Rojas rifled through Gonzalez’s pockets and then sexually assaulted his body for over 30 minutes, attempting to conceal his actions during train stops. Gonzalez, a 37-year-old family man, had died of natural causes prior to the assault. Rojas is being held without bail on charges of rape and grand larceny, and ICE has lodged immigration detainers against his release.
