Welsh Couple Jailed for Planning Brutal Child Sex Offences

Stuart Compton, 46, and Tracy Turner, 52, a hospital operating assistant, have been sentenced for planning the brutal sexual assault of three children under the age of 12, with Compton receiving a life sentence and Turner 12 years plus an extended licence. The couple, who referred to themselves as 'Bonnie and Clyde,' exchanged around 100,000 messages over months detailing their intentions, including discussions about drugging a child to facilitate abuse and even the potential disposal of a child if their plans resulted in fatality. Although no physical contact with the children occurred, the court heard the messages revealed a clear and obsessive intent to commit these sexual crimes, with Compton described as the driving force behind the offenses. Police discovered their plans after an online dating app raised concerns about Compton, leading to the couple's arrest. The judge emphasized the severity of their offenses, noting that the couple minimized their sexual interest in children despite explicit evidence to the contrary. Both are required to notify police of any new addresses or names and are barred from working with children or vulnerable groups.
