Ukraine Detains Russian GRU Agents Coordinating Strikes in Kharkiv, Kyiv Regions

Ukrainian Security Service (SSU) and law enforcement have recently detained multiple individuals suspected of collaborating with Russian military intelligence (GRU) and aiding in directing missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv and Kyiv. Among the detainees are a 46-year-old woman in Kharkiv who coordinated strikes and gathered intelligence on Ukrainian Defense Forces, and a 44-year-old man in Kyiv who spied on military positions and local businesses related to defense production. Both suspects face charges of high treason under martial law and possible life imprisonment with property confiscation. In a related development, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) arrested a 21-year-old man in annexed Crimea accused of spying for Ukraine by sharing photos and videos of Russian military facilities and air defense systems via Telegram and WhatsApp. The FSB alleges increased Ukrainian recruitment of Russians through messaging apps for intelligence gathering and sabotage activities.
