Amazon Ad Revenue Rises 23% to $15.7 Billion Q2
Amazon reported a strong 23% year-over-year increase in advertising revenue, reaching $15.7 billion for the second quarter of 2025, fueled by heightened engagement across its shopping and media platforms, particularly connected TV (CTV) ad offerings. CEO Andy Jassy highlighted the company’s broad portfolio of advertising solutions spanning its retail marketplace, Prime Video, Twitch, Fire TV, and live sports programming, which collectively reach more than 300 million U.S. consumers. Strategic partnerships, including a notable collaboration with Roku, have strengthened Amazon's position in the CTV ad market, allowing advertisers to launch campaigns across platforms that dominate the domestic streaming device space. Amazon’s advertising segment, now the third-largest digital ad platform globally behind Meta and Alphabet, has outpaced competitors such as Meta and Google in year-over-year ad sales growth. The company also emphasized its ongoing investments in AI and automation technologies, like Alexa+ and AI models that enhance customer experiences and optimize productivity, contributing to overall business growth and profitability. In addition to advertising, Amazon posted net sales of $167.7 billion with operating income of $19.2 billion, underscoring advertising's vital role within its broader revenue base.
