Kentucky Woman Escapes Kidnapping, Abuse by Jumping from Moving Car
In Hopkinsville, Kentucky, a woman escaped a violent kidnapping and sexual assault by jumping from a moving vehicle driven by her boyfriend, Deonte Walker-Coleman. The incident occurred after an argument when the woman discovered information on Walker-Coleman's phone, leading him to punch her, choke her unconscious, and force her into sexual acts at gunpoint. Walker-Coleman also prevented her from leaving the car by holding her phone and keys and refusing to stop, prompting her desperate escape. Police found marks of strangulation on the woman and noted she was struggling to breathe. Walker-Coleman was arrested and charged with multiple offenses including first-degree sexual abuse, strangulation, kidnapping, and theft by unlawful taking. He is currently held on a $50,000 bond awaiting arraignment.
