Greek, Israeli Teams Continue Search Missing Israeli Woman Crete
Israeli authorities, Greek officials, and local rescue teams are intensifying search efforts for Michal Peleg, a 65-year-old Israeli woman missing since June 4 near her home in Kavousi, Crete. Peleg, who frequently hikes and swims in the area, last communicated with family on Wednesday, and her mobile phone stopped working the following day, raising concerns about her safety. The Israeli Foreign Ministry, along with Interpol, insurance company Harel, and local Greek police, are coordinating the search, with Harel dispatching a specialized three-person rescue team to Crete. The Israeli community on Crete has also joined the search efforts, while aerial and ground operations continue without success. Authorities remain hopeful for Peleg's safe recovery as the search persists amid growing worry expressed by her family and officials. The coordinated multinational effort highlights the urgency and seriousness of the ongoing rescue operation.
