San Diego State University (SDSU) has announced a series of themed football games for its 2025 home season at Snapdragon Stadium to boost fan engagement and attendance. Themes include Beach Bash against California, Hispanic Heritage & Family Weekend versus Colorado State, Homecoming & Heroes Appreciation night against Wyoming, and Fan Appreciation night for the season finale against San Jose State, with special pregame ceremonies planned. Head coach Sean Lewis emphasized the need for a winning season and a strong home field atmosphere as the Aztecs prepare to join the Pac-12 Conference next year. Despite struggles filling the 35,000-seat stadium since its 2022 opening, SDSU is encouraging season-ticket holders to refer friends, offering prizes such as courtside basketball seats and the opportunity to lead the Warrior Walk. Meanwhile, Western Kentucky University (WKU) football prepares for its 2025 season with a remodeled roster including new quarterback Maverick McIvor, aiming to maintain and elevate their distinctive air raid offense and build a nationally recognized program under coach Tyson Helton. Both programs are focused on improving performance and fan experience as they enter new competitive phases.
