Israel Recovers Bodies of Three Hostages From Gaza

Israeli forces have recovered the bodies of three hostages—Ofra Keidar, a leader in Kibbutz Be’eri; Yonatan (Jonathan) Samerano, who was killed after fleeing the Nova music festival; and Staff Sgt. Shay Levinson, a tank commander—who were killed during the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and abducted to Gaza. The recovery was conducted through a joint operation involving the IDF, Shin Bet, and other agencies, aided by precise intelligence. The return of the bodies has provided some closure to the families following months of uncertainty. Despite this development, around 50 Israeli hostages are still held in Gaza, many feared dead or in critical condition.
