Carys Zeta Douglas Revives Mother's Vintage Dress

Carys Zeta Douglas, 22 and a recent Brown graduate, revived her mother Catherine Zeta-Jones' lace-accented black slip dress from 2005 on the red carpet at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala, wearing a frock that had also been worn by Keira Knightley in 2004. She attended with her father Michael Douglas; Catherine Zeta-Jones was absent due to work. Carys restyled the vintage look with pointed black pumps and bold earrings, while her mother originally paired it with diamond jewelry and embellished sandals. Speaking to People, Carys said she prefers vintage for sustainability, feels "very lucky" to access her mother's archive and admitted she sometimes borrows "a little too much." The appearance follows earlier examples of Carys wearing family pieces, including her mother's pink Emanuel Ungaro dress from the 1999 MTV Movie Awards.
