Tractor Supply Awards $100K to 50 Veteran Farmers Nationwide

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) NY 19-10 chapter received a donation from the Hilliard Corporation in Elmira to purchase a trailer that will aid in transporting gear for veteran support events and serve as a mobile outreach tool. The CVMA is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans and their families, providing opportunities for camaraderie and assistance. Separately, Tractor Supply Company and the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) have awarded $1,000 grants to veterans Chris LaRocque and Daniel Legereit to support their farming operations, as part of a $100,000 donation to FVC's Fellowship Fund. This fund aids veterans starting farming or ranching careers by providing microgrants for essential supplies and equipment. Tractor Supply, in partnership with its Foundation, has supported FVC for seven years, having contributed over $650,000 in funding and gift cards to assist more than 400 veteran farmers nationwide. The company's ongoing commitment to veterans is expressed through its Hometown Heroes program, emphasizing support for military service members, veterans, and first responders transitioning to civilian agricultural careers.
