Perfect Game Names Multiple College Baseball All-Americans Across NCAA
Roch Cholowsky, UCLA's sophomore shortstop, has been named the 2025 Perfect Game College Player of the Year, adding to his extensive list of honors that include Big Ten Player and Defensive Player of the Year awards. Cholowsky led all Division I players with a 6.46 WAR, batting .367 with 23 home runs and 73 RBIs, propelling UCLA to its first College World Series appearance since 2013. Austin Peay State University's senior outfielder Nickens earned a spot on Perfect Game's All-American third team after an outstanding season with a .422 batting average and leading the nation in total bases. Freshman Johnstone from Cal State Fullerton was named to Perfect Game's Second Team Freshman All-American, leading Big West conference play in batting average and runs scored. Additionally, Trey Swygart of University of Portland was recognized as a Perfect Game Freshman All-American for his two-way play, hitting .342 with six home runs and also pitching.
