Carrier Global Plans $1 Billion U.S. Investment, 4,000 Jobs
Carrier Global Corporation announced a $1 billion investment over five years to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint, workforce, and research and development capabilities. This initiative is expected to create 4,000 highly skilled jobs in research and development, manufacturing, and field services, while supporting the expansion of existing facilities and construction of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing site for heat pumps and battery assemblies integral to its Home Energy Management System. Central to this plan is the TechVantage initiative, which aims to recruit 1,000 service technicians and train over 100,000 climate solutions professionals to address industry workforce shortages. The investment will also accelerate next-generation R&D efforts, including advancements in liquid cooling for data centers and battery-enabled climate solutions. Carrier’s CEO highlighted the dual benefit of creating skilled trade careers and enhancing the company’s ability to deliver innovative climate solutions, reinforcing Carrier’s commitment to strengthening U.S. manufacturing and capturing growth in energy-efficient markets. Over the past five years, Carrier has already increased its U.S. workforce by approximately 20%, underscoring its dedication to domestic growth and innovation.
