Good Fortune Delayed by Strikes, Premieres TIFF 2025

The comedy film 'Good Fortune,' written, directed by, and starring Aziz Ansari, features Keanu Reeves as Gabriel, a bumbling 'budget guardian angel' who usually intervenes in minor mishaps. Gabriel is assigned to help struggling gig worker Arj (Ansari) and swaps Arj's life with that of his wealthy employer Jeff (Seth Rogen), hoping to teach a lesson about happiness and wealth. The plan backfires as Arj benefits from money while Jeff struggles with less, challenging Gabriel's intended message. The film, also starring Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer, blends absurdist humor with a satirical look at class and privilege. After production delays caused by Hollywood strikes, 'Good Fortune' will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 and release in theaters worldwide on October 17, 2025.
