Hershey Movie Begins Filming in Pittsburgh, Seeks Extras

A major motion picture titled 'Hershey,' chronicling the life and legacy of chocolate pioneer Milton Hershey and his wife Catherine, is set to begin filming in May in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, with a release planned for 2026. The film, directed by Mark Waters and starring Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario, will focus on Hershey's rise from humble beginnings, his relationship with Catherine, and his philanthropic impact, including the founding of the Milton Hershey School. The production is seeking numerous paid extras of all ages to portray characters from the late 1800s and early 1900s, offering $225 for a 12-hour workday, with overtime available. Specific requirements for extras include natural hair colors, period-appropriate styles, and, for women, willingness to wear corsets; costume fittings and makeup consultations are mandatory. Some scenes will be filmed outside Pittsburgh, requiring extras to have their own transportation. The film aims to capture both Hershey's business achievements and the enduring love story at the heart of his legacy.
