EHang Completes Long-Range Cargo Drone Flight Guangdong Greater Bay Area

EHang Holdings Limited has successfully completed a groundbreaking long-range cargo drone flight using its VT20 series eVTOL aircraft, covering an 83-kilometer route between Zhuhai and Guangzhou in China's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The flight, which took approximately 55 minutes, saved up to 40 minutes compared to road transport and even more during peak traffic, demonstrating a significant improvement in logistics efficiency. Operated by the joint venture Wanyi Tianxia, the drone transported fresh seafood and medical testing samples, validating the feasibility of UAVs for time-sensitive cargo delivery. This route, part of a broader strategic partnership involving Zhuhai Wanshan Development Group and Feixing Tianxia, has completed over ten round-trip test flights and is set for regular commercial operations. EHang's efforts contribute to developing a low-altitude logistics network, aiming to become a benchmark for China's emerging low-altitude economy and urban air mobility solutions. The initiative highlights the company's commitment to innovative, eco-friendly transportation technologies that could expand across China and globally.
