Adam Peaty Plans Four Gold Medals at 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Adam Peaty, the three-time Olympic champion and world record holder from Great Britain, is targeting four gold medals at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics following the addition of the 50m breaststroke to the swimming programme. Peaty plans to compete in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events, as well as the 4x100m mixed medley and 4x100m medley relays, aiming to build on his previous successes of three golds and three silvers across these disciplines. He expressed particular motivation to beat the United States, the current world champions in the medley events, on their home turf. Peaty is focused on regaining his top form after a period of physical and psychological burnout and a silver medal performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and he has opted out of the current World Championships to better prepare. He also plans to compete at the 2026 Commonwealth Games and the European Championships as part of his comeback. Despite his legendary status, Peaty emphasized the need to earn his place on the team through strong performances at upcoming trials and competitions.
