Wrexham Complete Signing of Leicester's Conor Coady
Wrexham have officially signed England international centre-back Conor Coady from Leicester City on a two-year contract, with an option for a third year, in a deal reportedly worth around £2 million. The 32-year-old defender brings extensive top-flight experience, most notably as Wolves captain, and has earned 10 England caps, including at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup. This signing is part of Wrexham's ambitious efforts under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they return to the Championship for the first time in 43 years. Wrexham has broken their transfer record twice this summer with deals for Liberato Cacace and Lewis O'Brien, and are targeting further signings such as Nathan Broadhead and Kieffer Moore. Coady has expressed excitement about joining the club and its upward trajectory. His arrival is seen as pivotal to Wrexham's aspirations for continued success and a possible Premier League promotion push.
