The issue gained attention after Williams reportedly told his father he lacked direction in film sessions, raising questions about the Bears' quarterback development. Williams later clarified his comments, saying he sought more efficient film study methods, not that guidance was absent. The Bears' coaching turmoil included an 11-game losing streak and Eberflus’ mid-season firing. With Ben Johnson now as head coach and a new staff, the Bears aim to better support Williams' development.
