Mystics Rout Sun 104-67 Behind Sykes’ 28 Points
Brittney Sykes led the Washington Mystics with 28 points, hitting 14 of 15 free throws, in a commanding 104-67 win over the Connecticut Sun. Washington never trailed, with rookie starters Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron providing key support, and achieved their first 100-point game since 2023 while shooting 57% from the field. The Mystics dominated on the boards (42-22) and outscored the Sun 56-24 in the paint. Tina Charles led Connecticut with 17 points, while Marina Mabrey and Jacy Sheldon each scored 15. Haley Peters, at age 32, made her first career start for the Sun, becoming the oldest first-time starter since 2010. Both teams now have a week off before their next games.
