DuPont Beats Q1, Reveals Qnity Spin-Off Plan
DuPont de Nemours reported strong first-quarter 2025 results, with adjusted earnings per share of $1.03, a 30% year-over-year increase, and revenue of about $3.07 billion, up 4.6-6% from the previous year. Significant organic growth was seen in electronics, healthcare, and water end-markets. The company maintained its full-year 2025 guidance, projecting adjusted EPS of $4.30-$4.40 and revenue of $12.8-$12.9 billion. DuPont's second-quarter outlook remains below market expectations. A $768 million goodwill impairment charge, tied to the Aramids business, resulted in a net loss for the quarter. The company also announced plans to spin off its electronics business as 'Qnity' by November 2025, while its stock has dropped over 13% year-to-date but has shown some recent recovery.
