Multiple Crashes Close Major U.S. Highways

Multiple separate crashes on Monday and Tuesday mornings caused major road closures and delays across several U.S. cities, including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque and East Windsor, Connecticut. In east Las Vegas, a rollover at Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards closed the intersection just before 6 a.m., and Nevada State Police shut all southbound lanes of U.S. 95 and I-11 in the southeast valley, diverting traffic off the freeway while investigators worked. Arizona Department of Public Safety said a multiple-vehicle crash on westbound I-10 near 16th Street around 12:45 a.m. resulted in injuries and that crews at the scene observed a body, prompting closure of all westbound lanes at the Mini Stack. In Albuquerque, a crash near the Big I closed two right lanes and the right shoulder on I-25 southbound at the I-40 westbound ramp (MM 226), and in East Windsor a box-truck crash before exit 2 closed I-291 eastbound; authorities have not yet confirmed injury counts or reopening timelines in most cases. Motorists are being urged to avoid the affected areas and use alternate routes while investigations and cleanup continue.
