Pink Floyd Confirm Wish You Were Here 50th Anniversary Reissue
Pink Floyd has announced a 50th anniversary edition of their landmark album Wish You Were Here, set for release on December 12 via Sony Music. This expanded edition includes 25 bonus tracks featuring nine studio rarities and 16 live recordings from a 1975 Los Angeles concert, remastered by Steve Wilson. Available in multiple formats such as 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, digital, and a deluxe box set, the release also includes a new Dolby Atmos mix by James Guthrie and three concert films on Blu-ray. The deluxe box set contains additional memorabilia, including a clear vinyl LP of Live at Wembley 1974, a replica Japanese 7” single, a hardcover photo book, a comic book tour program, and a concert poster. Pink Floyd has shared previously unheard demos like "Welcome to the Machine" and an instrumental mix of "Wish You Were Here." The anniversary edition celebrates the album’s lasting impact as one of the greatest classic rock records, originally released in 1975 and recognized for its themes of longing and disillusionment.
