Coastal Carolina defeated Arizona 7-4 in the opening round of the College World Series, using a decisive three-run eighth inning to seal the win. The victory marked the Chanticleers’ 24th consecutive win, the longest winning streak entering a CWS. Coastal Carolina, in its first Omaha appearance since winning the 2016 finals against Arizona, will next face the Louisville vs. Oregon State winner, while Arizona moves to the elimination bracket.
