Multiple Stabbings in Washington DC Leave One Dead, Two Injured

Several stabbing incidents have recently occurred in Washington, D.C., resulting in both injuries and one fatality. A 27-year-old Alexandria man, Devyn Cyphers, was arrested for stabbing a woman near Stanton Park, with the victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Another man was stabbed and robbed in Northwest D.C., with one suspect taken into custody, though the overall number of assailants remains unclear. Tragically, 31-year-old Jonathan Simmons-Miller of Gaithersburg was fatally stabbed near Howard University, leading to an ongoing homicide investigation with no arrests yet made. The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking public assistance in the murder case and is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
