25 Nations Urge Immediate End to Gaza War Amid Rising Civilian Deaths

Twenty-five countries including Britain, France, Australia, Canada, and Japan have jointly called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, condemning Israel's aid delivery approach as dangerous and inhumane. They criticized what they described as the 'drip feeding of aid' and the killing of civilians, including children, near aid distribution sites, with more than 800 Palestinians reportedly killed while seeking aid. The countries urged Israel to comply with international humanitarian law and called for an immediate ceasefire, warning of a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza where over 59,000 Palestinians have died, many of them women and children. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, backed by the U.S. and Israel, has been criticized for bypassing the U.N.-led aid system, which Israel claims Hamas exploits, though Hamas denies these allegations. The joint statement also condemned proposals for forced displacement of Palestinians as violations of international law and expressed readiness to support political pathways to peace.
