Meesseman, Talbot Join Liberty, Boost Title Hopes

Emma Meesseman, 2019 WNBA Finals MVP and two-time All-Star, has agreed to join the New York Liberty, pending visa approval, after choosing the team over other top contenders. The Liberty, defending champions, have also signed Stephanie Talbot to further strengthen their roster. Meesseman brings a decorated international career and recent Olympic and EuroBasket success. Her arrival adds depth to a frontcourt featuring Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones, who just returned from injury and helped New York secure a comeback win over the Indiana Fever. The Liberty currently hold second place in the league standings and, with their recent acquisitions, are widely considered the favorites to win another WNBA title.
