Multiple US Medical Schools Hold Largest White Coat Ceremonies

Several medical institutions across the United States recently held White Coat Ceremonies, marking a key milestone for medical and physician assistant students as they transition into clinical training. At Geisinger College of Medicine, students like Anthony Soto Ramos expressed excitement and readiness upon receiving their white coats, symbolizing their commitment to the medical profession. Similarly, LSU Health Shreveport conducted its ceremony earlier in medical education than in previous years, reflecting an updated curriculum that introduces patient experiences sooner, with first-year students participating in the rite of passage. Central Michigan University held its annual ceremony for nearly 50 future physician assistants, who will soon begin clinical rotations in various specialties and, upon graduation, become eligible for national certification and licensure.
