New York Man Charged Threatening ICE Agents, Children
Matthew White, a 43-year-old man from Jamestown, New York, was arrested and charged with communicating interstate threats after posting violent threats on X targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and their children. His posts included calls to "kill them all" and threats to shoot ICE agents without proof of identity or a warrant, as well as explicitly threatening an agent's children following an ICE operation in a Virginia courthouse. White voluntarily allowed investigators to copy the contents of his phone, which contained multiple threatening posts. He made his initial federal court appearance on July 1 and was released under pre-trial conditions. ICE Homeland Security Investigations Buffalo Special Agent in Charge Erin Keegan condemned the threats, emphasizing the agency's commitment to investigating and protecting law enforcement personnel and their families from such hate and violence. White faces a potential maximum penalty of five years in prison if convicted.
