NeoVolta Plans Acquisition of Neubau Energy Battery Platform

NeoVolta Inc. has introduced its first Commercial & Industrial energy storage system, a 250kW / 430kWh battery, showcased at RE+ 2025 in Las Vegas to enhance energy management for commercial, industrial, and microgrid applications. Concurrently, NeoVolta signed a letter of intent to acquire strategic assets of Neubau Energy, gaining access to advanced battery technology and Austrian manufacturing that will allow the combined company to avoid 2026 battery import tariffs exceeding 28%. This acquisition is expected to strengthen NeoVolta's competitive position by integrating Neubau's patented technology and experienced leadership, expanding the installer base to include any licensed electrician, and enabling sub-30-minute installation times that reduce deployment costs by 75%. NeoVolta's CEO highlighted that the deal would be immediately accretive to revenue and gross margins, with both companies actively demonstrating their integrated platform and taking orders at the RE+ event. Despite NeoVolta's recent revenue growth of 49.4%, the company faces operational challenges with significant negative margins and mixed financial health indicators. The acquisition and new product launch collectively aim to drive growth and operational improvements in the rapidly expanding energy storage market.
