77-Year-Old Woman Dies After Scooter Crash

A 77-year-old woman, Linda L. Miles, died after her motorized scooter was rear-ended by a pickup truck in the Town of Green Lake on August 29. The accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. on County Highway N near Center Road, where Miles was found with her scooter overturned in a ditch. She was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries. The truck was driven by 80-year-old James Prochnow, who was unharmed in the incident. The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash. No charges have been reported as of yet.
