Michigan Panthers QB Bryce Perkins named 2025 UFL MVP, Offensive Player of Year
Bryce Perkins, former Arizona Western College and University of Virginia quarterback, was named the 2025 United Football League (UFL) Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year following a standout season with the Michigan Panthers. Despite missing three games due to injury, Perkins completed 69% of his passes for 1,342 yards and nine touchdowns, while also rushing for five touchdowns and 269 yards, helping lead the Panthers to the UFL Championship game against the DC Defenders. Perkins' performance earned him three Pizza Hut Offensive Player of the Week awards, making him the only player to win multiple weekly offensive honors in 2025. He was selected MVP by a panel comprising league executives, coaches, players, media, and broadcast partners, beating out notable contenders Jordan Ta’amu and Luis Perez. The Panthers finished with a 6-4 record and the league's highest-scoring offense, with Perkins playing a key role in their success. The UFL Championship game was scheduled for June 14 in St. Louis, broadcast on ABC.
