FBI Renews Call to Identify Blue Glove Bandit
The FBI San Diego's Violent Crime Task Force is seeking public assistance to identify the 'Blue Glove Bandit,' who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 1235 Avocado Ave. in El Cajon at approximately 10:30 a.m. on September 4, 2024. The suspect took a customer hostage during the robbery and demanded money from the teller, escaping with about $547 as employees complied out of fear for the hostage's safety. The suspect is described as a white male, around 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with an average-thin build, wearing a black zip-up hoodie, dark blue jeans, black and white sneakers, sunglasses, a black face mask, and blue latex gloves. No weapons were displayed, though the suspect implied he was armed. No one was physically harmed in the incident. The FBI urges anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
