Brooklyn Nets Sign Top Chinese Prospect Fanbo Zeng

The Brooklyn Nets have signed 22-year-old Chinese forward Fanbo Zeng, one of the top prospects in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Zeng, standing 6-foot-10, averaged 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game last season with the Beijing Ducks, shooting an impressive 53% from the field and 41% from three-point range. Previously, Zeng played for the NBA G League Ignite during the 2021-22 season and was once a Gonzaga commit before opting for the G League. Despite suffering a fractured lower vertebra in April, which caused him to miss the Asia Cup, the Nets are taking a chance on his potential as part of their roster rebuild.
