Irish Classifieds Giant Distilled Acquires Northern Ireland PropertyPal Used Cars NI

Distilled, the Dublin-based parent company of Daft.ie and other leading Republic of Ireland classified platforms, has acquired Northern Ireland's top property portal PropertyPal along with the largest digital automotive marketplace Used Cars NI. Both PropertyPal and Used Cars NI will continue to operate as distinct brands with their existing CEOs, Jordan Buchanan and Emma Marley, respectively, while a new Northern Ireland board chaired by Cecil Hetherington will oversee the companies. The acquisitions aim to enhance Distilled's investment in product and technology, thereby delivering greater value to users and customers across the platforms. PropertyPal, which had previously merged with rival Propertynews, lists over 50,000 properties annually, while Used Cars NI lists approximately 20,000 vehicles from dealers and private sellers. Distilled’s CEO Eamonn Fallon expressed enthusiasm for the partnership and growth potential, emphasizing the strong local presence and quality of the acquired businesses. The financial terms of the transactions have not been disclosed.
